Trying to boot from minimal CD, both x86 and amd64, gentoo docache fails to execute. Here what is output to terminal :

Code:

switch_root : can't execute '/sbin/init' : No such file or directory
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init !
Pid: 1, comm: switch_root Not tainted 3.2.1-gentoo-r2 #1

I'm having this same issue with the Sparc platform.
