I've been experiencing a problem with Glipper for a month or so now. It stopped working after an emerge -uD world. Usually a nice revdep-rebuild corrects these things, but not this time. Various web and forum searches haven't turned up anything useful. Oddly enough I have two other machines with similar configurations (x86) and they run Glipper just fine. When I try to start it via the command prompt I get this:
| Code: |

I'm pretty handy with computers but this is beyond me. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated. Thanks. |

Okay, so I compared the other two machines to the goofy one. The goofy one has glipper-2.3 installed. The other two are still running glipper-1.0-r3. glipper-1.0-r3 is no longer available so it doesn't look like I can revert back to the old version. I did verify that the following packages were pulled in with glipper-2.3:
| Code: | dev-libs/keybinder-0.2.2
dev-python/python-distutils-extra-2.23
dev-python/pycrypto-2.4.1
dev-python/python-prctl-1.3.1
dev-libs/libindicator-0.4.1-r300
dev-libs/libindicator-0.4.1-r201
dev-libs/libdbusmenu-0.5.1-r300
dev-libs/libdbusmenu-0.5.1-r200
dev-libs/libappindicator-0.4.1-r201 |
Hmm, it pulled in two versions of dev-libs/libindicator and dev-libs/libdbusmenu. I wonder if that has something to do with the problem. |
