No sound with flash in chromium-19.0.1084.15 -- FIXED

Others have had this problem, but things suggested always seem to refer to configuration files that are not even on my system or using packages that are now thought to be obsolete. Sound works except in chromium, presumably due to some problem with flash. I just discovered that sound fails in audacity using default (or almost anything else), but does work with sysdefault or dmix. Audacious works using sysdefaul:CARD=PCH(HDA Intel PCH, ALC892 Analog, Default Audio Device works. In audacity the choice HDA Intel PCH: ALC892 Digital (hw0,1) fails. Perhaps there is a way to indicate the sound device to use for flash? As for many others alsaconf does not find a sound device for me.

I'm hoping all this might suggest something that might be done to get the rest of the sound system working. Thanks,

Problem is fixed -- probably by the latest update to xfce4.
