Breaking News : Game of Thrones has been renewed for a third season, and we're just two episodes into the second season.
We will now bring you back to the paranoid thread topic. _________________ If I had a dollar for every time capitalism was blamed for the problems caused by government, I'd be a fat filmmaker with a baseball cap |

My buddy mention the show before. I just looked it up and it looks really good. Kind of reminds me of highlander plus Berserk. |

Big deal. I belong to a fraternal organization with almost the same symbology. The point of the skull and bones to most such groups is that it is very important to understand one's own mortality -- that you're only on this Earth a short time, but what you leave behind may last a long time. It's kind of an important thing to really take to heart. One group I won't name actually requires you to sit alone overnight in a tiny darkened chamber with a few items, comtemplate their meaning, among them human bones. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

"Eleventh cousins?" Everybody on the planet is only about seven degrees apart.
Average Path Length = (ln N / ln K) where N = total population and K = known relatives per person. Thus if N = 6,000,000,000 and K = 30 then Degrees of Separation = 22.5 / 3.4 = 6.6.
In other words, assuming free association (which is where race and geography interfere), everybody on the planet would be no more distantly related than to be a known relative of a known relative of a known relative of a known relative of a known relative of a known relative of everybody else on the planet.
Therefore, two people who are eleven degrees apart are extraordinarily un-related. _________________ Oldthinkers unbellyfeel INGSOC.

Interesting, no idea why someone put that into the wiki page. |

I've never understood the mentality of frats and the like. A shame you won't name them. _________________ lolgov. 'cause where we're going, you don't have civil liberties.

Game of Thrones Renewed by HBO for Season 3 in 2013
| Quote: | HBO finally broke their silence regarding the renewal of Game of Thrones for a third season earlier today, leaving fans hanging for more than a week since the Season 2 premiere as to whether another season was in the cards.
One look at the Season 2 Game of Thrones premiere and subsequent episode ratings provides zero doubt that another trip to Westeros was forthcoming. The premiere episode has racked up a total of 8.3 gross viewers across multiple platforms, and is expected to surpass the 9.3 million viewers per episode average from Season 1.
The second episode of Season 2, 'The Night Lands,' dropped less than 3 percent from the premiere when looking exclusively at live viewers. That minimal drop was exactly what HBO was waiting for before formally announcing Season 3 is a go.
Author George R.R. Martin, author of the Song of Ice and Fire book series from which Game of Thrones is based, took HBO's announcement a step further by stating Season 3 is a 10-episode order, the same as Seasons 1 and 2. He also claims to be writing episode 7 of Season 3, which is tentatively titled 'Autumn Storms.' If true, work on Game of Thrones: Season 3 has likely been underway for some time.
Whereas Seasons 1 and 2 of Game of Thrones covered entire books, the 1,200+ page length of book three, 'A Storm of Swords,' is expected to force HBO and showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss to break the third book into two seasons. HBO has yet to officially state this is the case, but it has been implied by Benioff and Weiss on multiple occasions. |
