Hi i have problems with emerging freeglut and i cant compile openGL sources. I had these broken links problems also with the nvidia-drivers 290.10
I would like to fix the problem so that i will start learn some openGL and use it probably for my dissertation because i was told that there will be a thesis with graphics this time.
EDIT I also have some problems with other programs like VLChttp://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-p-6997116.html has some problems. with 295.33 it works fine but i still cant compile things with opengl.

I wonder which opengl setting you are using, you can find out with:

Its probably best to use nvidia since you are using the nvidia drivers:

well im using nvidia opengl and when i use it the problem occurs.
by the way i have geforce 260m

when i have problems compiling things that are related to opengl i just have to switch to xorg opengl and it will compile fine then change again to nvidia opengl

so far 295.33 was the best driver i will try 295.40 and give them a shoot its very annoying also code blocks with drivers under 259.33 wont work when i compile opengl things it give me the same errors. if it wont work i will stay with these packages because i dont want ot go back at windows. i will try and learn linux and stay with it at all cost and hope one day i will be able to help others in forum not just ask  |
