I have been using streamtuner for a while and for while it is also been broken with shoucast.
Are there any known working fixes for it ?
| Code: | * net-misc/streamtuner
Latest version available: 0.99.99-r5
Latest version installed: 0.99.99-r5
Size of files: 926 kB
Homepage: http://www.nongnu.org/streamtuner
Description: Stream directory browser for browsing internet radio streams
License: BSD |
| Code: | (streamtuner:15723): Gtk-CRITICAL **: IA__gtk_progress_set_percentage: assertion `percentage >= 0 && percentage <= 1.0' failed

Something seemed to have changed from shoutcast.com side and streamtuner also seems to have stopped being developed.
There are also a couple gtk alternatives such as streamtuner2 (without ebuild) and tunapie. Both seem not to work for gentoo.
Streamtuner user to provide basic.sh, punkcast and google stations too but for some reason those extras were removed from the flags:
| Code: | | net-misc/streamtuner-0.99.99-r5 USE="-python shout xiph" |
These features are still available in other distros.
| Code: | * media-sound/tunapie
Latest version available: 2.1.17
Latest version installed: 2.1.17
Size of files: 48 kB
Homepage: http://tunapie.sourceforge.net
Description: Directory browser for Radio and TV streams
License: GPL-2
media-sound/tunapie-2.1.17 USE="offensive" 0 kB
|
| Code: | $ tunapie
File "/usr/lib64/tunapie/Tunapie.py", line 30
modules ={u'tunapie2_main': [1, 'Main frame of Application', u'tunapie2_main.py']}
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax |
Also ST2 @ http://sourceforge.net/projects/streamtuner2 seems to suffer from the same python issue. Maybe i am missing some package.
| Code: | $ ./st2.py
File "./st2.py", line 169
except: print "channel .first_show() initialization error"
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
|
Additionally if anyone knows of a similar ncurses application it would be great _________________ 443640, Questioning, Unsolved, Configs, BinHost |

I get those same error messages if I use Python-3. Tunapie and Streamtuner2 are Python-2 programs.

Pyradio is a simple "ncurses like" frontend to mplayer for playing streams:
