I'm posting this here as apposed to the multimedia forum, as it's more about ebuilds that mythtv specifically.

I see that, not surprisingly, the mythtv 0.23.1 and related ebuilds have recently been removed.

My mythtv frontend and backend are still using these. I plan on upgrading to 0.24 at some point, but have just been way to busy to tackle it as yet. I do however like to keep those machines up to date otherwise. Until I can get a chance to upgrade, I just want to make sure I have myself in a position where I could recompile them if I had to, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything here:

First of all I can see that the myth related eclasses haven't changed, so that shouldn't be an issue. As long as that's the case should I be safe as long as:

a) I put copies of the old ebuilds in my overlay, and
b) Ensure that I save all the related distfiles, as they're probably already unavailable elsewhere.

Seems to me that would work. Am I missing anything there? Thanks.

Tom
