hi all, i'm porting gentoo on the asus transformer prime ( TF201 ).
i got almost everything works except the console. ( ref. http://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Asus_Transformer_Prime )
if i use a kernel with CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE=y i can see OpenRC messages but it "stop" after "*Starting local ... [ok]"
i can't neither login via ssh.
an ubuntu user told me that he has a working console with that kernel.
i think it's a trap between agetty console names or something similar. ( like on some xen devices that you have to 's/tty/hvc/' on inittab )
if the kernel does not have CONFIG_FRAMEBUFFER_CONSOLE i cannot see the OpenRC messages but i'm able to login via ssh and Xorg start successfully.
i've tried with a gentoo installation with nvidia tegra drivers and a new and clean arm-hardfloat gentoo installation.
any suggestion about log files to looking for? |

ok, i partially solved this... changing the default runlevel to 1 make me able to have the console.
now i have to check what is going wrong in my inittab....maybe a serial console that have a wrong baudrate... |
