help removing packages

During installation I installed a package (reiserfsprogs) that I don't need (I use only ext2 and XFS... ) so I unmerged it. Now, when I make an update system, emerge tells me to install this package. What can I do to eliminate it from "system" variable?

Perhaps there's a better way to do this, but I fixed it like this:

Ok, thanks a lot. This is a way, and I'm going to try now, but I would prefer to edit the system variable (I don't want to do the same thing every time an update is realized ). Does anyone knows where can I look for?
