hi all,

now our bundespräsident wulff has been dismissed after he resigned. not only he silently left but he insisted on a parade called "der große zapfenstreich", a sign of highest military respect, and on receiving the "ehrensold" (honour payment), which is about 200k€ pa payed for the rest of his life (along with a bureau at castle bellevue/berlin, clerks, a limousine with driver and bodyguards).

about 2k german people demonstrated on the edge, as close as possible to the parade, to show their disrespect which is shared by like 90% of the german population. they used vuvuzelas, whistles and shouted "schande" (shame on you). some were arrested because they wouldnt turn in their vuvuzelas to the police and are charged with "resistance against the police".
official media filtered the sound of the demonstration as good as they could.

i'm interested how *your* media reacted on this. did they even bother to report about him? how? like eveything is shiny over here in germany?

The video is creepy. I don't know if the uploader tempered with the editing or the sound, but it does not give the best of associations. :lol:

BTW, didn't you take a preliminary German language course in your degree studies? What happened to it?

rule of thumb: you are either german or some insignificant blip on the screen.

I am glad Wulff is gone. I am angry that he got that ceremony, that he got the 200 000/a, that he will get an office, clerk, limousine, drivers.

Others lost their job for cents, he is an outright criminal. Time for a revolution. GG § 20 anyone?
