The error about "Only glib.h can be included directly" goes on for pages.

My useflags:
media-gfx/inkscape-0.48.2 USE="dia* gnome inkjar* lcms nls spell -debug -gs -wmf" 0 kB

inkjar and dia are new, but it didn't build without them, so they're not the problem.

Have you tried using the testing package instead? 0.48.3.1 builds and works fine on my stable amd64 system.

Yes, and it fails as well.

I got the same issue after latest upgrade to glib.

EDIT: when update to 0.48.3.1 all work like a charm!

Nope, doesn't build here but for another reason. Since there are some other packages that do not build, I'm now emerging -e @system and see if it pulls anything in that was broken without me knowing.

Have you tried to
Code:
revdep-rebuild
emerge -a --depclean
revdep-rebuild

I have, except that I run depclean with -pv.
I'll try it if it continues not to function after @system has emerged.

Inkscape 0.48.3 works but 0.48.2 does not.
Inkscape 0.48.3 is masked. I would prefer to use a non masked version. But I can live with it...
