Salve a tutti,

ho notato che da quando ho installato i driver x11-drivers/xf86-video-intel ma principalmente da quando ho attivato KMS, le scritte di boot, dove appunto si vedono tutti gli OK sulla destra e i vari servizi che partono, alla fine del processo spariscono e rimane solo la schermata di login (per capirci quella che compare di solito se si preme CTRL+ALT+F2).
Non riesco a capire come mai succede ciò e come risolvere.

Qualcuno mi saprebbe aiutare?

Ciao,

la scheda video è la seguente (lspci):
Code:
VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 0126 (rev 09)



Questa invece è la riga kernel nel grub.conf:

kernel /boot/vmlinuz-3.2.6-gentoo root=/dev/sdb2 video=vesafb:mtrr:3,ywrap


Comunque mi sono accorto che anche senza "video=vesafb:mtrr:3,ywrap", è la stessa cosa.

I moduli del kernel:
Code:
CONFIG_DRM_KMS_HELPER=y
CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS=y
CONFIG_DRM_I915=y


Inoltre (e non so se il problema è collegato a questo che sto riportando) su KDE mi mostra solo la massima risoluzione supportata dalla scheda/monitor (1600x900), mentre invece dovrei poter vedere anche altre:
1440x900
1366x768
1360x768
1280x800
1280x768
1280x720
1024x768
800x600

Scusa, ma il modeset è già uguale a 1 grazie all'impostazione CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS=y.

Lo so che l'avevi messo come built-in, ma almeno nel mio caso con ati ho problemi di visualizzazione se non do i parametri anche al boot! Non era campata in aria la mia risposta! :D

Sì sì, scusa se ho dato un'impressione sbagliata nel rispondere, ma in realtà questa era una prova che avevo già fatto (tenendo CONFIG_DRM_I915=n) e non funzionava.
