hey all, self-educating dummy here.

I can't find ibm-java-sdk anywhere, except in binary format. Even then emerge wants 6.0-9. 2-linux-ppc not 6.0.10.

Can anyone help me out with compiling this on my install?

Unfortunately there is no source version of ibm-jdk available, nor was there in the past.

IBM Java is closed-source. If you want to compile java, you want icedtea (aka OpenJDK)

You can bump the ibm-jdk-bin-1.6.0.9 ebuild to 1.6.0.10 yourself (copy it to a local overlay) and/or file a bump request bug.
