|
|
1.
Code: |
emerge app-shells/bash-completion
|
but my bash completion did not make any change , bash still can't make auto completion .
2.
But it seem that the vim is different from vim in ubuntu and fedora.
The function is very weak.
3.
The emerge is likely to download the source code, the auto compile the program for us.
If I want to DIY my program , what should I do????
4.
Before I installed nm-applet I could connect to the wired network, but after emerging it the wired network doesn't work.
I can see the nm-applet icon on the panel, but when I click the icon and select the network I just can't connect to it. |

Are you comparing vim with gvim?

You can treat Gentoo like any other system when it comes down to it, but the caveat being, you have to clean up after it and make sure it doesn't mess up the Gentoo build system. Easier to grab a ebuild if it's available but traditional methods still work... You could also build your own ebuild and put it into an overlay and have portage deal with it... There's documentation about it.

nm-applet uses NetworkManager. You need to make sure NetworkManager is started when you boot up (default runlevel is fine.) "rc-update add NetworkManager default" as root. _________________ Intel Core i7 2700K/Radeon R7 250/24GB DDR3/256GB SSD

Thank you eccerr0r
I can not find many command in vim.
But yesterday somebody help me solve the problem
I add the minimal flag to my /etc/make.conf
The bash-completion didn't work because of I didn't config it rightly.
But the wireless network still doesn't work,
I try the wpa_supplicant
then use the wpa_gui to scan the access-point, I can find the AP, but I can't connect to it??
I don't know why?
