Didn't I read recently that subsidies to corn growers have finally ended? |
I'd be chuffed, but it, and most anything not directly related to the madness of my little startup being acquired at the penalty of insomnia and legal hell, I've not kept up with.
I won't believe a word of it until i can have a kroger-bought slice of bread and a coke, with neither containing high fructose corn syrup. |

| Quote: | Congress Ends Ethanol Subsidies, Mandates Remain
Congress has declined to extend a federal tax credit for ethanol production, putting an end to a special interest subsidy once viewed as politically untouchable. Nevertheless, federal mandates continue to require U.S. consumers to purchase large quantities of ethanol, which is more expensive than gasoline and delivers fewer miles per gallon. |

Cold turkey is only applicable to addiction. Neglecting to budget sanely is the only sure way you end up forever servicing unresolvable debt. Kinda like the situation you're in now. _________________

He's right, though. Obama didn't even get a budget submitted on time in three out of four years, and last year, we didn't have a budget at all. Now we're on our fourth year in a row with a trillion-dollar deficit, and amount more than one-third of the entire budget prior to his reign. Obama has amassed more debt in his tenure thus far than all of the Presidents in U.S. history combined. _________________ Obama killed bin Laden like Nixon was the first man on the Moon. |

If you need to apply a tourniquet, then you do. Anything new since Bush is not necessary. DHS, TSA, gone. IRS, reduced significantly. etc., etc., etc. Do that and the budget is done. Any budget Obama would offer wouldn't address the problem. _________________ Safety is my gaol.
