that has to be an SNL skit. It can't be real. No one is that dumb.
manhatten, if i recall, is 26 miles^2 (approx 13x2), with 1.5 million residents. With proper anchoring and sails (the buildings are strategically placed for this), you can have that many people on an island without it capsizing. |

gerrymandering at its finest. Her district basically zig zags across Houston so that it only covers sections inhabited by poor minorities - who are, for the most part, not supportive of her so much as they are scared to death of her. It is not an SNL skit, and I was completely impressed with how well Admiral Willard was able to maintain composure and not laugh in that democrat's face.

as i said before, your fuct system allows this. this shouldn't be in the power of those running for office. that's how you have polls showing most people hate congress and then have a 10% turnover rate. |

that's just it, people are rarely disappointed with their *own* representatives.
it's "the other guy(s)" who are fucking everything up.
A more interesting poll would be one where immediately after asking approval of congress as a whole, they turn around and ask approval ratings for their respective representative. |

likely is a product of the system. I mean, suppose you get a lot of pork for your little area. Of course, you will be popular at home and not elsewhere. |
