I have try installing Gentoo on my laptop CQ57, I have a desktop computer with Gentoo and I want Gentoo for my laptop too. When I compile I get errors all the time so I gave up and I installed ARCH-Linux and it worked without any problems.
When I start installing Gentoo it goes very fast in chroot environment but after reboot it don´t goes very fast. I think that I forgot something in kernel that are loaded with the minimal install CD.
All USE flags that I have in my desktop computer I wan´t it on my laptop too. The processor are E-350 ATI Radeon HD6310 and sound are hda-intel.
Can I compile the whole system in CHROOT or should I just install the basic without anything in the USE and add my USE after first reboot? _________________ 1/3 install NPTL with stabel toolkit managed by my self
