It was a proposal for an alternate Gentoo installation method. Basically suggesting using Knoppix technologies for LiveCD's and have an option to install to HD by clicking an icon on a desktop.
I'm looking for it because I wanted to show a friend of mine the PPC LiveCD screenshot on the third(?) page.
Soo... if anyone knows the thread I'm referring to, please point me to it. Or... if you don't mind booting your PPC boxen off of a LiveCD and taking some screenies of MoL and KDE 3.1....

err... actually i don't really understand what thread you're talking about... but do you mean this one:

nope, that ain't the one 
during my search of the archives, i did find that one eventually though! ah, memories....
i search all 50 pages of both gentoo chat and off the wall and didn't find it. somewhat frustrating, because i know it's here somewhere....
