Does anyone know if it's possible to change the console a program/process is running on (while it's still running)? I have a stray program that's outputting to god knows where (certainly not one of my VC's), and I'd like to know if it can be "recovered" before I send the entire program to /dev/null. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

screen can be used to detach and attach programs to different terminals but only if the program is run with screen.
As far as I know you won't be able to do anything with the program you already have running. |
