broken emerge!, php pecl-ssh2 [SOLVED]

I just woke up and like everyday I do emerge --sync, but today:

emerge --sync

(Could take a couple of minutes if you have a lot of binary packages.)

I cannot do anything with emerge! I cannot sync or emerge emerge.

I looked for pecl-ssh2 but is not in my system:

Help please! I'm just an sync addict, I need my system and portage updated and my libraries and dependencies in good status.

Hi,

I have made a 'emerge --sync' today morning.

After syncing I get the same messages as described above.

No 'emerge --sync' or i.e. 'emerge -p system' possible.

Need help too.

Hi!

I ran in to this too. After I straced the emerge --metadata process I found the relevant file (/usr/portage/profiles/updates/4Q-2011).

Edit this, delete the 'move dev-php5/dev-php5/pecl-ssh2 dev-php/dev-php5/pecl-ssh2' line, then run emerge --metadata again. I can emerge after performed this.

Hi,

I have found a solution for me.

I think the reason for this problems is in /usr/portage/profiles/update/4Q-2011

Just remove the line
