It looks like your C compiler cannot create executables. There may be some useful information in config.log.

I have no idea what to do about this?

Here is a problem:

azzerare ~ # gcc-config -l
* gcc-config: Active gcc profile is invalid!

[1] x86_64-pc-linux-gnu-4.5.3
azzerare ~ #

This is my CHOST from make.conf CHOST="x86_64-pc-linux-gnu"

Looks like I have more problems that alsa. I tried to update emerge -av1 binutils gcc glibc
and I ran into the same problem.

Any ideas?
