|
|
Im trying to setup the graphical login in my PC with slim and xfce, but even when I have followed all guides, I cant make slim to start Xfce with consolekit support. When I try to mount a flash I got an error saying that Im not authorized. So, I have to go back and start via startx and .xinitrc
can somebody give me an idea about how to solve this? _________________ Game programming news for newbies | The Ark, making an RPG the right way!

I have the following line in /etc/slim.conf :
Code: | login_cmd exec /usr/bin/ck-launch-session /bin/bash -login /usr/share/slim/Xsession %session |
Then the usual procedure of specifying slim as the display manager in /etc/conf.d/xdm :
Code: | DISPLAYMANAGER="slim" |
And XFCE as the default X session in /etc/env.d/90xsession :
That's all I needed to make it work. _________________ Personal overlay | Simple backup scheme |

As of slim-1.3.2-r4 , consolekit should "just work" the same as other login managers. |
