hello
problem with installing openoffise amd64
make.conf http://fpaste.org/oc2V/
emerge --info http://fpaste.org/kDOu/
gcc --version
| Code: | | gcc (Gentoo 4.4.6 p1.0, pie-0.4.5) 4.4.6 |
emerge -e system && emerge -avuDN world did not help
issue here is the error
cat /var/tmp/portage/app-office/openoffice-3.2.1-r1/temp/build.log http://fpaste.org/ZUP1/
I understand the problem is for this reason
| Code: | configure: error: Library requirements (libwpd-0.8 ) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

thanks for the help |

Openoffice has been masked from the tree and replaced by libreoffice. Try syncing and trying to emerge that. _________________ www.gentoo.org.au || #gentoo-au |

moogprodigy,
Welcome to Gentoo.
OpenOffice is a dead end. Oracle effectively killed it when they took over Sun. What comes of it being donated to The Apache Foundation remains to be seen.
The OOo developers that left Oracle have forked OOo to become LibreOffice. Try installing that. _________________ Regards,
