Did you run revdep-rebuild?
If it doesn't work, try http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-877149-start-0.html . _________________ My Smooth Computer

revdep-rebuild did not help,
and I have now been through every post in that thread (previously I skim read it and tried a few things), exactly the same result.
any other ideas?
is anyone other than me using revelation ?
what option have I got to recover the data from the password protected revelation file ?
A quick google shows a) lots of "I love revelation as my linux password manager" posts and b) worryingly dead links to the project. _________________ Linux 3.0.6-gentoo #1 SMP x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 850 Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux - Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6450 - 8G DDR3

it does appear revelation is dead or dying looking at the releases and commits.
i ended up installing an older version of revelation on an even older ubuntu laptop copying across my encrypted password list opening them and then exporting, now to find a new password manager.
Its a pity because Revelation just worked and did everything I needed it to. _________________ Linux 3.0.6-gentoo #1 SMP x86_64 AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 850 Processor AuthenticAMD GNU/Linux - Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 6450 - 8G DDR3

| Upstream has option to disable the applet at build time so you won’t have that problem again. There will be a release soon. |

| Yes, upstream == master, yet to be released. I want to add a couple of fixes before I roll a new tarball |
