Hi
I am looking to buy a new laptop for work and private running gentoo of course. Which led me to look and choose hardware before purchasing. I know there is the http://smolt.fedoraproject.org/ and package available from portage. For research purposes .My question or idea is there anything similar for gentoo only ? Where could upload/post your working hardware profiles and make.conf to match ? Also with benchtimes for say libre office compiling . Something like that sounds really slick. Only thing forum search really gave me was this from some years ago http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-67427-start-0.html but I think this died ? |

| There is a Google Summer of Code project underway for Gentoo for gathering package statistics. Maybe not quite what you're looking for because it only stores software statistics. But it's a new project and implementing new features might be more feasible than in a dead project. |

There used to be a gentoo-smolt project two years ago, but then it died. _________________ “And even in authoritarian countries, information networks are helping people discover new facts and making governments more accountable.”– Hillary Clinton, Jan. 21, 2010 |
