Came across an information management package that has gone open source: Treesheets. It is touted as:
Quote: | The ultimate replacement for spreadsheets, mind mappers, outliners, PIMs, text editors and small databases. |
See examples at: http://treesheets.com/docs/screenshots.html
To install, I did the following:
I had to add wxwidgets
Code: | emerge =x11-libs/wxGTK-2.9.4.1 |
Set my environment to the new wxwidgets 2.9.4.1
Code: | eselect wxwidgets list |
Selected the gtk2-unicode-2.9.
Pulled in the source code:
Code: | cd /usr/local/src
git clone https://github.com/aardappel/treesheets.git
cd treesheets
./build.sh
|
Ran the program:
Code: |
cd ../TR
./treesheets &
|
|

Moved from Portage & Programming to Unsupported Software. Not in Portage so it fits better here, which doesn't mean it doesn't look really interesting. I think I'm going to make an ebuild in the gentoo-sunrise overlay.
