|
|
Hello,
I have an additional sound card that plugs to ExpressCard/58. It works fine with my existen installation, but the device is detected only during system boot.
I mean, the sound card needs to be connected before Gentoo boots up. When i have system already booted up and i connect it, its not detected (nothing about it in dmesg, not listed in lspci - simply nothing).
Kernel config has PCIE Hotplug enabled: CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_PCIE=y
Whole kernel config: http://wklej.org/id/524182/

Addendum: On my Lenovo w510, I had to enable:
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_PCIE=y
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI=y
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_ACPI=y
CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI_ACPI_IBM=y |
