|
|
Hi,
I just left a screen in a remote machine (holding an "emerge -auD world" command) and I cannot attach to it anymore. When I try with "screen -r -d" the terminal just hangs
I tried googling around and found some people with the same problem. There is a guy that says he solved that with "strace" command
http://home.coming.dk/index.php/screen_reattach_hang_workaround
but this is not working for me...
Any ideas/suggestions on this?
Greetings!!
EDIT: ooops...it seems this is a known bug

Does temporarily downgrading app-misc/screen to the version you were using prior to the @world update allow you to attach to that session again? |

yes, masking screen-4.0.3-r4 (and hence using 4.0.3) did the trick
Thanks!! |

Just remember to unmask the newer version when you have a chance to switch to new sessions.
Moved from Other Things Gentoo to Duplicate Threads, given the topic we both ended up linking to. |
