|
|
hi,
i use .Xresources to tweak the terminal emulators xterm rxvt-unicode and pterm to my likings.
one thing that i do not understand is, why some colors are different in xterm than in urxvt.
e.g. the background color of "make menuconfig" of the linux kernel is a light shade of blue in urxvt and a dark shade of blue in xterm.
i thought that something like this could help (colors taken from /usr/share/X11/app-defaults/UXTerm-color): Code: | *color0: black
*color1: red3
*color2: green3
*color3: yellow3
*color4: blue
*color5: magenta3
*color6: cyan3
*color7: gray90
*color8: gray50
*color9: red
*color10: green
*color11: yellow
*color12: rgb:5c/5c/ff
*color13: magenta
*color14: cyan
*color15: white |
unfortunately it does not.
does anybody know why that is and how i can make the colors look the same without making definitions per emulator ?
thanks in advance!
EDIT: typo

Did you try the USE flag xterm-color or 256-color in ~ARCH? Also make sure that you set your TERM properly to rxvt-unicode (or rxvt-unicode-256color in ~ARCH urxvt). _________________ emerge --quiet redefined | E17 vids: I, II | Now using kde5 | e is unstable :-/ |
