Hi all,
I want to know if there are any free (gpl, creative common, ..) fonts available to replace media-fonts/corefonts completely?
liberation-fonts seems to be a good starting point.
Thanks,

droid (used on android phone), dejavu and ubuntu-font-family (unfortunately no serif font so far) come to my find. all available in portage under the respective names.
otherwise just run eix -C media-fonts to see what portage offers

Yep, liberation-fonts was specifically made as a replacement for corefonts.
What I'd like in addition to that is a replacement for Tahoma. Something that's as compact, and as crisp and clean. Droid comes close, but it's not totally as compact and not as clean. |
