I have several gentoo vms. On a physicaly box, I have always manually set the video resolution, but in a VM, the resolution can vary from time to time and even change while I am in a session. Canned distros will generally automatically stretch and adjust by themselves, but my gentoo boxes always want to stay how I set them. Does anyone know the trick to having the desktop session know what the dimensions of the screen are and adjust iself?
I use fluxbox and kde most often. _________________ Drinking from the fountain of knowldege.

| If you use QEMU/KVM, using the qxl drivers will take care of the screen size automatically. |
