|
|
Hi.
I've had this issue with Gentoo and Fedora 14 at least but I'd like to know if anyone here has found a fix or a workaround.
In Gimp I can no longer place (i.e. set) guides with my mouse (I can drag existing ones though); mouse click events are captured once I click a ruler and until I switch to another virtual desktop. When I click a ruler to drag a guide, nothing happens but the pointer turns into the cross as soon as I release the left mouse button, it doesn't drag anything and Gimp seems to eat up all mouse/wheel click events (moving the pointer is okay). The only kind of click that seems to work so far is through the virtual desktop selector so I can switch to another VD and back to Gimp. In this case Gimp is back to normal
Pressing the ESC key doesn't work while Gimp is in that weird state. No context menu shows when I right-click the desktop, Alt+F2 (Xfce) doesn't pop any dialog box and I can't close my session; Alt-F4 doesn't work either.
So if you have already come across such a weird behaviour and found a workaround, please let me know. I still can place guide with the measuring tool but it's not the most convenient way...
Thanks in advance. _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...

Hi,
Same bug here (Gimp 2.6.11, amd64, Xfce) with the guides and mouse grab on rulers. No warnings if i launch in console (gimp-2.6 --verbose --g-fatal-warnings). Please report here if you have any news.
Thanks in advance. |

The problem apparently disappears when you... kill xscreensaver! _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...

I guess so. Let's hope version 5.13 really cures the issue. _________________ Gentoo addict: tomorrow I quit, I promise!... Just one more emerge...
