|
|
I'm trying to get X installed. emerge xorg-server made it as far as "file 32 of 74"-I'm guessing at that, as I can't page up far enough on the screen right now to give an accurate number. What I'm looking at is "/usr/lib64/libx11.la-no such file or directory"
make[2] ***[libXmu.la]error 1
Error: x-11libs/libXmu-1.1.0 failed:
died running emake, base_src_make (then some call stack and environment info), then:
The specific snippet of code: emake"$@" || die" died when running emake, $FUNCNAME
It ends saying to post the output of emerge --info =x11-libs/libXmu-1.1.0
Hope any of this makes sense.

try Code: | emerge lafilefixer
lafilefixer --justfixit
emerge --resume --keep-going xorg-server | should tell you at the end if anything still needs emerging
as a back check Code: | emerge -uND xorg-server |
BTW the actual error occurred much earlier. _________________ Defund the FCC. |

X appears to have installed without a hitch. Thanks! |
