|
|
Hello!
I have tried to view the splash screen in gnome. I know that it has to be activated in the gconf-editor (/apps/gnome-session/options). But it does not appear the option show_splash_screen and splash_image.
I have added them manually using gconftool-2:
gconftool-2 type bool --set /apps/gnome-session/options/show_splash_screen true
gconftool-2 type string --set /apps/gnome-session/options/splash_image splash/splas.png
But when I check them in gconf-editor it says that "This key has no schema".
Any idea? Has it disappeared in version 2.32.1?
Yours faithfully,
Josep Bonet. |

Splash screen was removed from upstream code.

Thanks for the answer.
I know that it wasn't very useful, but I prefer it rather than a blank screen with the mouse pointer.
I'll miss this feature. And I wonder if it was so complicated to maintain.
Thanks again. |
