I just emerged lirc using kernel 2.6.37.

When trying to modprobe lirc_dev, I get:
FATAL: Error inserting lirc_dev (/lib/modules/2.6.37-gentoo/misc/lirc_dev.ko): Invalid module format

This seems odd, as it's compiling against the current kernel.

Also, I seem to need lirc_i2c as a module for my IR card as well. Is this something that lirc provides, or is it something in the kernel? I've searched the kernel, and I don't immediately see a reference to lirc_i2c.

Thanks...

You may need to enable CONFIG_VIDEO_IR_I2C=y
