I'd like to see a daily email list of packages added to rsync. That way I wouldnt have to check the website daily, i can just check the emails and upgrade what is new.

eix-diff may be what you want. There are also RSS feeds, for example http://packages.gentoo.org/feed/

Its not 'official' gentoo and is sometimes erratic but Gentoo Packages is really rather good for watching whats going on.
