|
|
Hi
I've changed my password on the bugtracker by requesting this email that give me a link to a form, with which I can supposedly change my password.
This email was received almost instantaneously. After filling out the form, it says password changed.
The problem is, however, that it won't accept my password when I try to login. I don't know whether I'm being stupid or what is going on. I've tried several times - and I've even copied my password to the clipboard, to ensure that I do not accidentally misspell my password.
I've also had the thought that maybe I would need to confirm the change via Email, but there is no such email, nor is there one in my junk folder.
Any ideas? |

Thanks for the suggestion, unfortunately, it does not help. |

Works fine for me.
https://bugs.gentoo.org/index.cgi?GoAheadAndLogIn=1#forgot
Enter your email there and click on "Submit request", wait till you got the mail with the link/token and follow it. Then enter your new password twice and login as usual. |

Apparently, my password was too long. I am now using a 10 characters long password, and it works. Previously, it was around 20. I have also tried 20 character passwords with and without special characters, no difference. I just can't imagine nobody else has run into this problem before me. I've tried with 20 character passwords about 6 times, and I've always copied it from my password manager, so there's no chance that I've mistyped it by accident. |

Yes, you're right.. the current password length has to be between 6 an 16 chars. This will be fixed with bugzilla-3/4. |
