No is runned as normal user that is in games group (like for other game that works correctly)
maybe is an ati problem?
Next try will be start as root, or use radeonfb ... |

| not quite sure why.. but the ebuild fails. yet if I use the installer on the cd it works perfectly... |

for me not works, I have unmerged descent3 and reinstalled with original cdrom.
Same problem.  |

Don't know what to tell you man. All I know is that the fix mentioned in this thread has always stopped the sig 11 for me, the linking fix.  |
