Hi all...
I Know that the subject has been talked before, but once again I let the question in the "air"
Is it possible to "port" gentoo into a ARM powered Handheld? (p.e. Jornada 56x)
I'm willing to make a try, if I get support from the gentoo comunity...
Waiting for your reply |

Gentoo was ported to a few ARM-based machines already. It more or less was in the form of the "Gentoo-Embedded" project, formerly headed by Zack Welch. Zack decided to pursue other interests though, and thus forked Gentoo into a group called "Zynot", and virtuslly the entire gentoo-embedded team went with him, thus leaving the gentoo-arm work virtually orphened.
If someone wants to give it a shot at starting up....go ahead...

I'm not making any promises, but I'd like to take a look at the gentoo arm stuff. |
