|
|
I am currently running:
vmware-server 2.02.203138
and
firefox 3.5.8
They work and play "well" together. I've found that this mixture gets around the problem where I can't access the console.
I see that ff3.5.8 has fallen out of the tree, and that portage wants to install ff3.6.8. This is further complicated by the fact that xulrunner has recently reved from 1.9.2.4 to 1.9.2.8 and my installed version of ff doesn't like to start. I'm considering forcing a downgrade back to xulrunner 1.9.2.4.
Before I roll the dice and let go of ff3.5.8, does anyone know if the new version of ff3.6.8 works with vmware-server?
Thanks |

why not run the quickpkg command against the packages you want to keep a copy of?
... you may want to test re-emerging from the package with a package that is still in the tree.

Hmmm, quickpkg I never thought of that. I'll definitely give this a try. As you said, test it with a package that's still in the tree first. Thanks
That said, I'd still like to know if anyone has had any luck with the new ff and vmware. |
