Transient segfaults while compiling kernel? (internal error)

I am at kernel compile stage & keep getiing something like:

In <file> <name>:<line>
Internal compiler error: Segmentation fault


Though, when i re-run make it goes further till the next "failure".

So far has failed 5-6 times, then continued past the failure on re-run.

Still in the process of compling, hoping it will all work if I type "make" enough.

Anyone else experience this?
Is it bad RAM?

Yep, it is most probably the hardware

yep, swapped out some ram. & compiles fine...
