Hi dear all,
I wanted to learn UML so I installed Umbrello with default flags.
I had to add a few flags for underlying packages, such as: Code: | #umbrello
x11-libs/qt-qt3support kde
x11-libs/qt-gui dbus qt3support
x11-libs/qt-sql qt3support
x11-libs/qt-core qt3support
x11-libs/qt-webkit kde
x11-libs/qt-opengl qt3support | leading to Code: | [ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-core-4.6.3 USE="exceptions glib iconv qt3support ssl (-aqua) -debug -doc -optimized-qmake -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-test-4.6.3 USE="exceptions iconv (-aqua) -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-script-4.6.3 USE="exceptions iconv (-aqua) -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-xmlpatterns-4.6.3 USE="(-aqua) -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-sql-4.6.3-r2 USE="exceptions iconv qt3support sqlite (-aqua) -debug (-firebird) -freetds -mysql -odbc -pch -postgres" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-dbus-4.6.3 USE="exceptions (-aqua) -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-gui-4.6.3-r2 USE="accessibility dbus exceptions glib qt3support (-aqua) -cups -debug -gtk -mng -nas -nis -pch -raster -tiff -trace -xinerama" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-qt3support-4.6.3 USE="accessibility exceptions kde (-aqua) -debug -pch -phonon" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-svg-4.6.3 USE="exceptions iconv (-aqua) -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-opengl-4.6.3 USE="exceptions qt3support (-aqua) -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] x11-libs/qt-webkit-4.6.3-r1 USE="exceptions kde (-aqua) -dbus -debug -pch" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] kde-base/kdelibs-4.4.5 USE="acl bzip2 handbook mmx nls sse sse2 ssl -3dnow -alsa (-altivec) (-aqua) -bindist -debug -doc -fam -jpeg2k (-kdeenablefinal) (-kdeprefix) -kerberos -lzma -openexr -opengl -policykit -semantic-desktop -spell -test -zeroconf" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] kde-base/khelpcenter-4.4.5 USE="(-aqua) -debug (-kdeenablefinal) (-kdeprefix)" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] kde-base/umbrello-4.4.5 USE="handbook (-aqua) -debug (-kdeenablefinal) (-kdeprefix)" 0 kB | Unfortunately Umbrello doesn't offer any alternate language other that the default one.
Please note that Designer and Linguist packages have also been installed. I'd like to have a leaner install, but at this stage I can't tell whether theses app are mandatory for a full featured use.
Has anyone any idea what I should do?
Thanks for your attention.

Additional translations in KDE require kde-base/kde-l10n to be installed. _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.

I'm not suprised .
EDIT: Sorry, I've been to quick on that one at first sight. i thought you were recommending to install some big KDE binaries. So I was about to give up.
Finally I've reread your post and checked what your advice was all about.
Although is a big piece of a package (~ 22Mb) is seems only about translations.
It seems like a whole set of translations has been generated, mostly for applications that are not installed.
Nevertheless, the one I needed was included. And that's good
Thanks for your attention, interest and support . |
