Is it possible to have 2 X open i mean, to have 1 for normal use in 1280x1024 and 1 for gaming in 800x600?

As far as I have read you can have two instances of X running, the first will be accessable by CTRL+ALT+F7 and the second is CTRL+ALT+F8. I know I have done two seperate instances of X, I had not tested them at differing resolutions. To get the second instance started I switched to the first console by CTRL+ALT+F1 and then logged in and ran startx. Then it automatically popped me over to the second instance of X. I hope that answers your question!

First X:
Code:

startx

or
Code:

startx -- :0

Second X:

Code:

startx -- :1

Third X (not sure if you can?):

Code:

startx -- :2

You get the picture? :)

PS: Change resolutions with CTRL + and CTRL -

Well, since I think you want to play some game on the other X; here is my CounterStrike start script.

cs
Code:
XINITRC=""
xinit /home/meyerm/bin/cswine -- :1 -xf86config XF86Config.nvidia

cswine
Code:
cd "/home/meyerm/.wine/c/Program Files/HalfLife/"
wine hl.exe -- hl.exe -game cstrike

And the XF86Config.nvidia, which resides als in /etc/X11 only has 1024x768x16bit and so on.
