I think I've found a bug in firefox but I don't know how to diagnose it..
This afternoon I've installed xcomposite support for kde. I remerged kwin with xcomposite support and emerged the two programs that you need,
xcompmgr and something else. Even after disableing translucency in the control centre again, it is still crashing.
Now, when I start firefox, and for example, I open www.fok.nl (a Dutch news-site) and I want to open an article in a new tab, it crashes. It also crashes viewing other sites.
I've tried to diagnose the problem using the command line but it doesn't tell me anything .
Does anybody else have this problem? and how could I diagnose what's wrong here?
ps. I've also emerged the newest version of firefox after all this. _________________ Calling atheism a religion, is like calling bald a haircolour. |

Just as a trouble-shooting step, disable all of the composite stuff you added and see if it works correctly then. _________________

I intent to. Even recompiling kwin without xcomposite support. But for now I want to see how wine and other programs react to it. It doesn't seem really stable yet. _________________ Calling atheism a religion, is like calling bald a haircolour. |
