|
|
| Is it possible to have an option added to the board to allow people to hide other's signatures when viewing threads like there is an option to hide profile pictures? There is one person's signature that I find to be religiously offensive and while I have tolerated it for a while, I would like to no longer view it while browsing the forums. |

| I don't see the option, but it's a good idea. |

Given the nature of the signature in question, I think the term delusions is more appropriate. I do not mind the fact that some people have them, but I would prefer not to see the same thing attached to every post people make. |

@Mike Hunt ++.
That's freedom of expression.
I guess you also object to ads.

Your post is unclear as to its target audience. It seems to be talking to Mike Hunt at the beginning, but afterward, it discusses something completely unrelated to him. |

Hello,
If signatures can be hidden, the next step would be to ask to hide some user's messages...
Or some users could not use signatures but write them in the message body.
If a signature is choking, is it possible to talk with the user and moderators what to do ?
I think there is also some big cultural differences about "liberty" and "freedom of speech", for example between US and "old" Europe. _________________ Xavier Miller

It would certainly be nice to be able to hide certain user's messages. I am sure that many people here would love to use it on our resident anti-Linux troll in the Off the Wall forum. |

While this is a a me too post, I would like to say that I strongly agree with the ability to hide entire users, although I think that signature hiding is much easier implemented and I do not believe one should be substituted for another, because they are not mutually exclusive.
Edit: It looks like John deleted his post. :/ |

Can't police the world. Eliminate one so called "offender" here, go 3 blocks down the road, and pops up another one!
Who cares. People will post what they post.
Live with it.
Bye. |

I actually just want the ability to hide signatures. This actually will help page load times and enable me to read through forum threads more quickly; it has little to do with "policing", because it does not target any specific person. |
