I wasn't sure whether to post this into installation, or in PPC, so I posted in both, since the issue could be due to generic problems, or with PPC-specific installation problems...
I'm trying to build gentoo on an iMac G5 20", to breathe new life back into an otherwise good device.
I got the kernel configured, and I've gotten it (the kernel and modules) to successfully compile and build, copied it into place,
but when I try to emerge syslogd, I get this: http://cl1p.net/sysklogdoutput/
The output of emerge --info =dev-util/pkgconfig-0.23 is: http://cl1p.net/sysklogd/
I have tried to emerge other things which also similarly fail, which leads me to believe that there is something wrong with my make.conf?
my make.conf looks like this: http://pastebin.com/iGbxhVDA
I have also tried it with the -mcpu=g5 and the -mtune=g5
I'm not sure what other information I can give exactly, but I would love any help/suggestions
Thanks!
