Welcome fellow genoo users
I have stumbled upon the following problem. I need to use the new Valgrind (3.5), but when compiled, it complains about missing symbols and doesnt run. I have found some info that states that in needs an unstripped glibc:
https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-814674.html
with a suggested solution to add "splitdebug" to FEATURES and re-emerge glibc.
Now, paludis doesnt honor FEATURES, instead the documentation states to set build_options to "split" and "strip" for the package. The problem is, glibc ebuild doesnt have split nor strip flags (although some other packages have).
So the question is - how to get (with paludis) a build of glibc that would work with the new valgrind (preferably without enabling the full debug in glibc as that could slow down the whole system)
I hope someone knows the right answer (and will be kind enough to share)
cheers,
