If Seamonkey take close to 100% of the Cpu resources, it may be because the gstreamer USE flag is active. That's what appen when I was on youtube.com and lesson to an Html5 audio only stream.
It do not appen with Html5 video with sound and not with Flash Adobe. Only with audio Html5. Firefox with gstreamer USE flag active do not take more than 45% of Cpu resources when I lesson to an Html5 audio only stream.
After I install the seamonkey-bin package who do not take more than 45% of Cpu resources itself, I saw in about:buildconfig that the configure argument --disable-gstreamer was active. So, I disable gstreamer USE flag in the seamonkey package and than the Cpu use in Seamonkey binary and source packages are like Firefox, around 45%.
And alternative may be to keep the gstreamer USE flag in the seamonkey package and disable gstreamer in about:config. I have not test it. _________________ Paul |
