Thanks for the help
mount -t iso9660 /dev/hda /mnt/cdrom
mount: block device /dev/hda is write-protected, mounting read-only
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda,
missing codepage or helper program, or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so
This is my dmesg | tail
hda: command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hda: command error: error=0x50 { LastFailedSense=0x05 }
hda: possibly failed opcode: 0xa0
end_request: I/O error, dev hda, sector 64
isofs_fill_super: bread failed, dev=hda, iso_blknum=16, block=16
hda: command error: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }

You cannot mount an audio cd. You can listen or rip it.

Okay, but there is still no way to "mount" an audio CD. If you're looking to play it, Audacious is a nice music player that plays many formats. If you're looking to rip it, I've used grip in the past and it worked well.

If you're still having issue with this, take a look at this thread that addressed the same thing. Long story short, you need to enable the cdda USE flag. Thanks. |
