Hi,
I experience a strange bug in konquerer: when opening links (from kopete icq for instance), the program opens 1000000 times until the system crashes and in best cases X restarts. This was so in 4.3.3 and 4.3.5. I that a known bug? (I didn't know what to search for ) |

| The first thing I would try is creating a new testuser account, login KDE, and try the Konqueror thing to see if the strange behavior is persistent. This would likely eliminate or confirm $HOME config files are the cause. |

I had this too. So it should be a known bug. Not using KDE anymore, so it's "solved" for me. _________________ "Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves." - Abraham Lincoln

I've got the same problem - seems like it only happens when opening links from Kopete. My fix was
just to make Firefox the default system-wide browser. |

i did that too....but since upgrading to 4.4 from 4.3x i blew away my kde profile as i was experiencing a few other quirks and so i started with a clean 4.4 profile.
now this problem is gone. _________________ I might not have morals...but at least I have standards |

I had the same issue...and used the same fix you did. FF is my browser of choice anyway. Still...a big bug. |
